Q:

A:

What are the eggs made of?

All of the eggs are real. Although they may look and feel like
porcelain they are real eggs with the yolk blown out.

Q:

A:

How many eggs have you broken?

I have only broken one and that was because I bumped it and it fell
on the floor. They look fragile but they are actually quite strong; you
just need to use some care in handling while sculpting or carving.

Q:

A:

Are the colors on the sculpted Emu eggs painted or natural?

The Emu egg colors are natural. The designs are carefully sculpted
to the desired layer of color to create a dramatic effect.

Q:

A:

How do I mount my Egg on the stand?

To secure the Egg to the stand, roll a small amount of the wax
(Included with each egg) between fingers to make it soft and
pliable. Place wax at 3 or 4 points on the base where the Egg
will make contact. Place the Egg on the base by applying very
light pressure (being careful not to apply any pressure to the
sculpted areas as they are very fragile).

Q:

A:

How do I care for my Egg?

Do not place the Egg in direct sunlight as it may deteriorate the
Egg. Dust with a damp cloth or feather duster only. Do not use
any chemicals.

Q:

A:

What are the eggs sculpted with?

We use a high speed, air driven hand piece (similar to a dental drill)
that spins at almost 400,000 RPM. Diamond and carbide burrs are
used to cut and carve.
